Last week we teased big changes coming to College Liftoff, in form of big growth! This week we have officially started three new advisors to meet the growing demand for college planning help.

Meet Sara Kapaj!
Originally from Albania, Sara grew up in Dublin, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Middle Childhood Education. In college, Sara worked closely with first year students throughout the orientation process and with their transition to higher education. She also has several years of experience in the field of teaching. She joins College Liftoff eager to begin working in an advising role with College Liftoff to support students in reaching their brightest future. In her spare time, Sara enjoys baking and traveling the world… and we hear she’s a competitive board game player.
Meet Yoshi Akutsu!
Born in Fukushima, Japan, Yoshi moved to Ohio when he was young and graduated from Dublin Scioto High School. He went on to graduate from The Ohio State University, where he majored in Anthropology and minored in Biology. Yoshi loves exploring the differences and similarities of the human experience, which manifests itself in an interest in food, language, and reading. He recently returned from Japan, where he spent a year helping Japanese high school students with college admissions. Unfolding exciting paths for young people through face-to-face communication is a thrilling prospect for Yoshi, and he’s looking forward to exploring the places College Liftoff will take students.
