In this video, we discussed outside scholarships, which are sources of financial aid other than from schools.
We cautioned about the unregulated nature of scholarships. Use reputable sources and discretion to distinguish legitimate offers from bogus scams aimed at obtaining personal information.
There are three reliable sources of outside scholarships that you can use:
- Reputable websites (Scholly, Peterson’s)
- Paperback publications (Petersons, TBY, Kaplan)
- Guidance counselors (Access local or community scholarships)
Remember, prioritize internal scholarships first, then look for outside scholarships once your college applications are in.
