Hearing back from schools is an exciting and crucial part of your career planning and college application journey. Only once schools respond regarding admission and scholarship packets can you start to make decisions and plan the year ahead.

Consider the time frame for responses to your applications:

Application Type Acceptance/Rejection and Scholarship Packet Response from Schools
Early Action  End of December to Mid-January (Up to end of May for Ivy League schools and similar)
Early Decision End of December to Mid-January (Up to end of May for Ivy League schools and similar)
Regular Decision End of January to Early March (Still up to end of May for Ivy League schools and similar)

Some colleges will send out the scholarship awards much later than others, sometimes not until late March. Look out for correspondence from the schools in your email and also through your school-specific student account. Some schools may also send you mail.

Once you have feedback from all the schools that you applied to, you can start the review process to make your final decision.
