In this video, we talked about the importance of doing campus visits the right way. Before you do a campus visit, narrow down your list of target colleges to 4-9 schools. In the mix should be your “safety” or regional schools, as well as some reach ones. You’ll go on campus visits for your regional schools. Only go on campus visits for a reach school if you’ve gotten into them. 

On a successful campus visit, you should document everything and:

  1. Get a feel for the campus and its layout.
  2. Check out the freshman accommodation thoroughly.
  3. Visit your academic department of interest and talk to someone there.
